Laura's Paw Spaw Staff
Laura Cirlincuina, CCE
Laura has been grooming since 2015 and opened Laura’s Paw Spaw in 2019. She opened the Paw Spaw wanting to work with a wide variety of pets and provide individual care for each of them. Though she loves getting to work with all dogs and cats, Laura has a passion for doodle and poodle grooming. She also loves being able to rehabilitate nervous or aggressive dogs that have been turned away from other groomers. Laura finds fulfillment in providing a positive, safe, and relaxing environment for the Paw Spaw staff and the pets in her care. She also offers creative grooming services including permanent and temporary hair dye, which really helps to bring out a dog’s personality! A frequent speaker at The Kansas City Grooming Conference, Laura has a passion for continued education and is a Certified Canine Esthetician. Laura has two dogs at home (Ezdeath and Buddy) and two ferrets (Pike and Grog).
Shelby Westfall, CCE
Shelby started in a corporate salon in 2018 and worked her way up the ladder until she joined the Laura’s Paw Spaw team in 2020. She loves getting to get to know our customers, both human and animal. With a passion for continued education, Shelby is a two-time speaker at the Kansas City Grooming Conference and loves to spread awareness about safety and mental health in the grooming industry. A Certified Canine Esthetician, she has a special interest in hand stripping and carding. She also specializes in terriers, and is known as the “crazy westie lady” around the shop. When she isn’t at work, you can catch her sewing, crocheting, or hanging out with her own two cats (Nala and Miss Ma’am).
Kaitlen Bird-Smith, CCE
Grooming since 2017, Kaitlen worked her way up in a corporate setting before joining the Paw Spaw team. She loves getting to build strong relationships with her customers and the pets in her care. Her favorite thing about grooming is getting to build trust with pets and help them feel comfortable and confident in the salon. Kaitlen specializes in skin and coat heatlh and was the first Paw Spaw team member to become a Certified Canine Esthetician. She is always seeking continued education to improve her skills and learn how to best take care of the dogs in her care. When Kaitlen isn’t at work, you can find her hanging out with her family or playing D&D! Aside from her husband (Keith), Kaitlen has two dogs (Bettik and Morel) and a cat (Yam).
Ashley Drake
Starting in a corporate salon in 2019, Ashley quickly rose through the ranks before coming to Laura’s Paw Spaw. Our newest addition, she has quickly become an integral part of our team. She has a special interest in naughty dogs and loves getting to build close relationships with pets that have trouble trusting groomers. Ashley has a love for all animals, especially dogs, and anything spooky. When she isn’t hanging out with your pets, you can catch her hanging out with her own – two chihuahuas (Neo and Gus) and a cat (Sable).
